Founding Director

Umut is a finance and tech professional based in London and the founder of management consulting firm Cold Almond Ltd. He specializes in tech solutions, quantitative business solutions, computer science and data science.

In recent years, Umut helped startups and entrepreneurs as well as enterprise clients such as Deutsche Bank, Master Card, Forage, Deloitte, Danske Commodities, FluidAI and BBVA Garanti Bank with data, finance, tech, engineering and business-related solutions.

His ML & deep learning skills, combined with Python expertise and the ability to deploy production-level systems via Oracle cloud solutions, support cross-domain work across tech, finance, banking, energy, consulting and education.

Umut is a deep learning fellow at Machine Learning Institute London.

Holy Python

Umut also founded Holy Python , which helped 3M+ users improve their programming skills and gain computer science knowledge.

Some of its notable users include CUNY, University of Texas at Austin Neuroscience Dept., NASA Summer Schools, British Columbia Institute of Technology, NASA Advanced Software Group, Technikum Wien Austria and various research hubs.

In the past he worked as a mechanical engineer on various manufacturing projects and as a trader and banking associate at Deutsche Bank, Garanti Bank, Danske Commodities and various hedge funds.

He has also provided volunteer work to youth projects as a ski instructor and swimming instructor.
